03/09/2010 - Evidence-based vaccinations: A scientific look at the missing science behind flu season vaccines

(NaturalNews)Conventional medicine, they say, is really "Evidence-Based Medicine" (EBM). That is, everything promoted by conventional medicine is supposed to be based on "rigorous scientific scrutiny." It's all supposed to be statistically validated and proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that it works as advertised. And in the case of flu vaccines, they are advertised as providing some sort of absolute protection against influenza. "Don't miss work this flu season. Get a flu shot!" The idea, of course, is that getting a flu shot offers 100% protection from the flu. If you get a shot, they say, you won't miss work from sickness.

This implication is wildly inaccurate. In fact, it's just flat-out false. As you'll see below, it's false advertising wrapped around junk science.

You see, there was never an independent, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study proving either the safety or effectiveness of the H1N1 swine flu vaccines that were heavily pushed last year (and are in fact in this year's flu shot cocktail). No such study has ever been done. As a result, there is no rigorous scientific basis from which to sell such vaccines in the first place.

01/05/2010 - Regular Flu Vaccine Actually INCREASES Risk of Swine Flu

In September 2009, news stories reported that researchers in Canada had found an increased risk of pandemic H1N1 (pH1N1) influenza in people who had previously been vaccinated against seasonal influenza. In a school outbreak of pH1N1 in spring 2009, people with cough and fever were found to have received prior seasonal flu vaccination more often than those without. Read the article on Mercola.com

26/04/2010 - New Study Suggests Vitamin D is Better than Vaccines at Preventing Flu

Researchers at Japan’s Jikei University School of Medicine in Tokyo conducted the double blind, fully randomized study during the 2008-2009 winter season. All said, 354 children whom participated in the study were administered 1200 IUs of either vitamin D or placebo for a 3-month period. By the second month of the test, the research team began to notice some initial changes in the experimental group as compared to the control sample.

Conclusion of the study, as published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition: “This study suggests that vitamin D3 supplementation during the winter may reduce the incidence of influenza A, especially in specific subgroups of schoolchildren.”

03/11/2009 - Thimerosal Law Changed for H1N1 Vaccine

The New York Health Department has decided to change a state law so that more people can receive the H1N1 vaccine more quickly. Since 2008, the New York State Department of Health has not allowed  pregnant women and children under three to be given vaccines with Thimerosal in them. Thimerosal is a mercury containing preservative that keeps bacteria out of the vaccine. Because the H1N1 vaccine can be made more quickly with Thimerosal in it, all injectable versions of the shot given out will contain Thimerosal. Read the original article on Mercola.com.

13/08/2009 - Legal Immunity Set for Swine Flu Vaccine Makers

Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sibelius has not only given immunity to the makers of Tamiflu and Relenza for injuries stemming from their use against swine flu, she has granted immunity to future swine flu vaccines and “any associated adjuvants”.

The last time the government embarked on a major vaccine campaign against a new swine flu, thousands filed claims contending they suffered side effects from the shots. This time around, they will have no recourse.

21/05/2009 - Children Who Get Flu Vaccine Have Three Times Risk Of Hospitalization For Flu, Study Suggests
ScienceDaily (May 20, 2009) — The inactivated flu vaccine does not appear to be effective in preventing influenza-related hospitalizations in children, especially the ones with asthma. In fact, children who get the flu vaccine are more at risk for hospitalization than their peers who do not get the vaccine, according to new research that will be presented on May 19, at the 105th International Conference of the American Thoracic Society in San Diego. 30/04/2009 - Homeopathic Influenza Remedy
Debbie Bruck, says in her blog: "You are not protected against swine flu if you received a flu vaccine. NOTE: Many of the deaths that occurred in the great 1918 Flu pandemic can be attributed to the use of aspirin which lowers fever and prevents the body's immune system to fight against the virus by raising the temperature of the body. ... There are a few homeopathic approaches for the onset of flu. As soon as you notice those body aches and pains and you realize this isn't a regular cold, then take a dose of Oscillococcinum ... Influenzinum can be given as pro-active treatment, the same as oscillococcinum. "

Bente Ødegård says in her blog, "An article published in the Journal of the American Institute of Homeopathy in May 1921 (you can download it here) states that Dean W.A.Pearson of Philadelphia collected 26,795 cases of influenza treated by homeopathic physicians with only a mortality rate of 1.05%, while the average conventional medical approach had a mortality rate of 30%. During this time there were many Medical Doctors practicing homeopathic medicine throughout Europe and in America, much to the chagrin of non-homeopathic doctors and pharmacists. While conventional hospitals in the US had an 80-90% loss of life during the scarlet fever, Cholera and Flu epidemics around 1919, Homeopathic Hospitals had only a 2-5% loss."

Dr. Mercola recommends taking vitamine D to avoid flu. Vitamine D it's produced by our own body when it's exposed to sun. But there's also some food with high dose of vitamine D: sardines,  tuna, margarine, cheese, eggs, but the most important source of Vitamine D is Cod's liver oil!

23/02/2009 - Low Vitamin D Levels Linked to Colds
Vitamin D may have a role to play in preventing colds and flu, a study shows.

A new study adds to mounting evidence that vitamin C may have been stealing the spotlight all these years from the real cold fighter, vitamin D.

The study, the largest to date on the link between vitamin D and common respiratory infections, shows that people with the lowest vitamin D levels report having significantly more cases of cold and flu than those with higher levels.

06/10/2008 - Are Vaccine Pushers Putting Pregnant Women At Risk?

Vaccinations and Pregnant Women

Dr. Edward writes an interesting article about vaccines. These are some of his statements:

"It seems as if the makers of vaccinations have no respect for human life - and the same is true for the government agencies that stand behind them in support of their propaganda. I have long been concerned by the way vaccinations are pushed on parents and the amount of vaccines administered these days to the poor children who have no choice in the matter."

"One of their latest actions really bothers me. It seems that the vaccine pushers are now trying to get pregnant women to get flu vaccinations during their 8th month of pregnancy in order to protect the newborn child from acquiring the flu. This is absolutely preposterous. Not only is this a false presentation of how vaccinations work, it also completely ignores the inherent risks associated with getting vaccinated."

He argues that there's a connection between autism and vaccinations, and explains that vaccins contain mercury who is a neurotoxic material. There's also several allergic reactions. And the risk to develop the disease you have been vaccinated to.
